Today was so cool! after our orientation meeting, we had some free time to buy some food, and then we met up in our classroom and met our teachers, 2 famous artists, one was sweet, and one was a bitch! paul corio and frank holiday...paul frank hahahaha okay. we were introduced to what would happen the next 4 weeks in the design class and our projects and so on, we have not had the drawing class yet, but we got a material list to bring tomorrow, and was told we would be drawing real naked people :) yay!
the project for design is making a magazine, with a photoshoot in it of us as models wearing a piece of fashionable clothing we designed and created, including an accessory. The dress/ whatever we want to make, should be inspired by an environment in manhatan, so me and my group of 2 other people have been walking around all day and taking pictures of all sorts of things, we decided int he end that we would use a building as inspiration, and show the details and beauty of that building by making a dress/jumpsuit with lots of mirrors on it :) the building also has a lot of cream and marble and dark brown and grey in it, we will use those colours too to make the perfect fashionable outfit, and for the photoshoot for the magazine, we have decided 2 of us girls (the 3rd is a boy) will both be models (be different and go all in right? ;) ) and photoshop the pictures so they look cool, like photoshop 5 of one person onto one picture, or something creative and different, and then add some graphic design and photography into the magazine, follow the instructions we were given, and add even more to make it perfect right? i cant wait to get started!!!!! now i'm going to go set up a blog for this summer program, one for class use. il post a link on here later so you guys can go check it out! after im done with that, im going to have to draw my left hand lol...just to show the level when we start drawing class tomorrow :) woohoo!! bye!
